"I aim to misbehave"

[This post was originally titled "You can't take the sky from me", but I realized later that a friend already used it for her post about the same subject. Oh well.]

Like the heaps of people who were bummed when the SF TV series "Firefly" got cancelled, I'm pretty psyched about the movie spin-off -- titled Serenity -- that will be landing in theaters in September. The trailer's out early, and it's just beautiful. You can watch it on your browsers at the Apple Movie Trailers site or download it from the The Movie Insider site, which was what I did.

In other movie news, it seems I'll be watching more mediocre movies just to see Ioan Gruffudd. After having to sit through King Arthur, I will now have to haul ass to the theaters in July to see him in blue spandex glory in the upcoming Fantastic Four movie.

Of course, I've already downloaded the trailers .

One of my friends is right now rummaging through his stacks looking for his Horatio Hornblower videos because I've been bugging him about them for the past few days. They're supposed to be pretty good, and I would like for once to enjoy something with Ioan in it. Black Hawk Down doesn't count, as (1) I didn't know him yet when I saw it and can't even remember which character he played and (2) I enjoyed it mostly for Ewan McGregor and Eric Bana. Funny, for years I knew my friend had those videos, but I never bothered until I found it was Ioan playing Hornblower. There's nothing like a cute guy to make a girl want to watch a movie.*

*And I mean there's nothing like it, not there's nothing better than. The love of Ioan is still not enough to make me watch the hysteria that is Titanic, or that dogfest 102 Dalmatians.
