Fully Booked is IN
This is a little late, but I had to first confirm that I could talk about it publicly. Fully Booked (bookstore) is hosting a Neil Gaiman signing when he comes over in July. The event is tentatively set to July 9, at the Rockwell tent. *dances a little jig*
Another organization (can't tell you which one yet) is interested in hosting a talk by Neil. Cross your fingers, guys, and hope they really do. After all, Neil is a fabulous talker.

Ah, but did you know that in order to have something signed by Gaiman, you need to have a certain amount of items bought from Fully-Booked before you can line up? Yep, you can't just go there with your own Gaiman stuff.
Heaven forbid FB can't make money out of the guy's appearance. Though can't blame them: Gaiman's appearance is definitely going to pack the bloody place.
(Besides FB supplies my addiction. ;-) )
I think that's fair. After all, they will spend lots on the event, and should get monetary profit from it.
After all, if you really want your entire collection autographed, you can always send it over to Neil himself, with return postage.
Also, having only FB-bought stuff is a good idea because if it's a free-for-all, I predict the lines will be too long for a one- or two-day event, and a sprained wrist for the author.
