I am aware of the stupidity of my question, but it bears asking just the same:
Do you think Mr. Gaiman would be offended if I asked him to sign a paperback book instead of hardbound? Paperback's all I can afford.
Oh, that's not at all stupid. Neil's such a sweet guy, I'm sure he won't at all mind. I'd almost stake my blog on it :)
Besides, don't authors get the same amount of royalty per book copy, whether it's paperback or hardbound? Does anyone here know?
I always thought that the royalty differed depending on the quality of the paper. Anyway, at least I won't feel like such a big doofus when I show up with my books.
Y'know what, how about asking him yourself? He might even answer you on his blog, wouldn't that be neat? Go look for the message box in http://www.neilgaiman.com/faq/faq.asp.
Done.
But if he gets enamored by my eloquence and wit, and decides to quit writing altogether, it's your fault.
And partly mine, for being so damn eloquent. And witty.
Oh, no. What have I done?!! *tears hair*
Hey Pau! Not to worry! I think Gaiman has blogged in the past about signing someone's arm or butt or something like that. An hour later that same person returned to show that he/she had the signatured tattooed!

Wow, that's one huge-ass reply to your question, Pau! At least he didn't think of quitting writing!
Didn't I tell ya he might reply? Surely you will never doubt my infinite wisdom from now on :)
Budjette: Now, I'm thinking of getting a tattoo!
Anansi Girl: Now I won't doubt you ever again. But my regard for my wit and eloquence is dangerously running low. I guess I'll probably just rely on my sex appeal to get me through life.
But what the hell am I talking about, Neil Gaiman replied to my question! Need to blog about this stat.
