Because Fully Booked will be giving you a book-signing pass (for the upcoming Neil Gaiman book signing) for every two Gaiman novels or one Sandman graphic novel. You'll need this pass to have items signed by Neil (one pass per two items).

Also, you get a raffle ticket for a chance to win the complete autographed Sandman collection (1-10), and dinner with the dream king. (You'll both be having dinner with the winner of the art contest too, but you can always drop a laxative in his drink to make him go away before the main course. If you're joining the art contest and you win, you can do the same to the raffle contest winner. I'm kidding. Or am I.)

The rules and guidelines of the Neil Gaiman raffle and art contests can be found at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/gaiman_fullybooked/.

My luck with raffles (or any contest or activity where luck is involved) is horrible. I wonder if I can learn to draw in three weeks.

The French Film Festival has been running since last week, and I've only been able to see one movie so far. *Sigh* Due to really bad time management, I'm swamped with work and can't go out to play.

Then there's the fabulous Pink Film Festival -- Oberon has been bugging me to go watch something with him for days now. He'll just have to find someone else to watch with him, although I know it'll be next to impossible to find someone who can be as amusing and entertaining a companion as me*.

I'm reminded of that episode in "
Angel
" where Lorne does a spell on himself that takes away his sleep. Something like that would be very useful in this situation. I myself am terribly jealous of my sleep (which is why I can't be a soldier in the army, or be a farmer, among other things) and if I get less than 8 hours a night, I have to make up for it the next night. Like Superman, I too have a weakness.

Now, excuse me. I have to get back to work.
